"No Mission Too Difficult, No Sacrifice Too Great" "Duty First"

That is the Motto of the First Infantry Division.

I lived that.

Until you do.....you just don't know.

Its just words.

Like...

I love you

Just words.

Until you live it....until you really feel it.

Then you know.

And you Never forget.

At times I find it hard to say no. At the core of that is the fact that I really do care ....that I'm a softy for someone in need. To a point......

At the opposite end of the spectrum I hate being taken for granted and being used. It takes me about .06 seconds to go from placid to bone shatteringly angry when someone thinks I "have" to help them out.

Somewhere in the middle is a happy medium and that's where I want to be now. I don't mind helping someone out but they are going to help themselves first. No free rides and no hand outs.

Ultimately we must all find our "happy medium" ....our Center. That's my goal for the year.....

A new year....a chance to start anew.

Yule symbolizes that rebirth......coming out of the dark times and into the light.
