I got tired of looking at the same old Blog formats so I went out and found some new ones......ones that more accurately reflected the feeling of the Blog it represented.

If only changing things in our lives were so easy.

I've been sitting and looking to the future and honestly.....I have no idea what is coming down the road. I've thought of working towards a PA degree...I've thought of working towards a Master's in Hstory so I can teach. For a time I considered going into IT. I've thought of doing nothing more that working in a coffee shop. I've even thought in really down moments, of ending up like some of the homeless Vets I see under bridges here and there......men and women who couldn't make it back far enough to 'fit in'.

In any event....the first step to making changes is to decied that you want to....or accepting the need to. Been there...done that....time to take the next step.

Centuries ago it was believed that the Earth was the Center of the Universe.
It was Heresy to state otherwise....it contradicted the teachings of the Church.
Men who proved this to be wrong scientifically were discredited and their works banned.
Some were slain for their audacity.

Later is was said that the Sun was the Center...when it could be properly spun.
Again, men proved that blind assertion to be false. Again they were branded as Heretics.
Again their works were discounted and some were put to death.

In time, Reason began to replace blind Faith as the driving force of human culture.
Thus ended a period of Darkness in human development.
Thus began the Age of Reason.
Universities spank up, great works of literature and art were created.
Medicine began advancing for the first time in over a thousand years.

When I was 5 years I took things on faith that I was told the truth.
When I was 7 years old I started asking "why?"
When I was 19 I was assigned to Military Unit who's motto was "Deeds, not words"
In the passing years I have marvelled at the truth in those words.
Words can be lies......but deeds, actions.......they are the truth.

So....the next time someone says something.....look to their actions to see if they are lying to you.
You may well be surprized.
Or....you can simply take it on faith......

Few people believe their inherent mind is Buddha.
Most will not take this seriously,
And therefore are cramped.

I believe it was Dogen who once said;

He that speaks, Knows not
He that Knows, speaks not

Basically that means....those with diarrhea of the mouth are merely speaking their minds.

Sometimes we dwell far too long on the same thing. It ceases being a healthy process and infact becomes a painful, wounding process. The wound can fester and poison the soul if you don't let it heal. Time to bandage it and move on.
